Each state charges fee for an OSOW permit. Fees vary significantly in cost and application. Some states charge a single fee for an OSOW permit regardless of its size, others use incremental costs so that a permit is more expensive as the load increases in size, and still others charge based off the mileage a load travels. The map included on this page displays the initial fee of an oversize and overweight permit. The various incremental or mileage fees are on top of the fees listed in the map.
